Episode Ω:New Frontiers

Folks, you're really gonna want to dig into this episode ahead of Nanowrimo. This year we're making some changes to the show. This is one of the rare shows where we were all physically in the same space to record so the conversation is a lot more easy breezy, as it probably should be in the run-up to the Nanowrimo 2017.

Nanowripod 2016 pre-Nano banter: Gather ye rosebuds

It's starting...

Jim and Ben got together and recorded a little skull session about how they're getting ready for Nanowrimo 2016. We've been deathly quiet on this front, and the boys have to make for some inspirational lost time. Nevertheless we are very excited to be diving into this again, and we're always glad to keep fellow writers company on this journey.

By the way, if you happen to hear some cat meowing on this track, that is because Jim's cat Rufus wanted to join in on this episode. He appreciates your listenership.

Episode 39: Post-mortem

Well, it's certainly been a month. To be brutally honest, this was quite a challenge and our word counts came up well short. However, we cannot dwell too much on what might have been! "What's next?" "What do we want?" And the importance of finishing your work even if you didn't finish Nanowrimo, are all covered in this wrap-up episode to Nanowrimo 2015.

Be sure to keep us in your podcatcher or RSS reader (or just hit "refresh" on this page for forever) because we will be back with random episodes throughout the 'downtime.' Thank you for another fun year of this podcast and congratulations to all those who hit their 50,000 words!

Episode 38: It's New to You!

It's a "lost episode" for the Thanksgiving break. In this Jim and Ben talk about creepy and mysterious 'true life' sources of inspiration that could go into your story.

We hope you all have an excellent finish to your NaNoWriMo projects this year. We will be back with a few closer episodes for this year after we get back from the break.

Episode 37: Down but not out

It's hard times writing in this episode. Ben is woefully off pace at this point but Jim is cracking along. We talk about output and being ready to "kill your darlings". And we've also got some handy links and advice if you're feeling like things just haven't come together like you'd hope they would for your NaNoWriMo.
